A photo ornament on the Christmas tree is a yearly tradition that builds the most sentimental tree imaginable. Here are easy DIY methods.
Method 1: Clear Baubles
Buy clear fillable baubles. Print a small photo, roll it gently, and insert. Add fake snow or glitter around the photo inside the bauble.
Method 2: Photo Transfer
Print a photo on regular paper (laser printer works best). Cut to size. Apply Mod Podge to a wooden disc ornament, press photo face down, let dry, then gently rub away the paper backing to reveal the transferred image.
Method 3: Laminated Ornament
Print and cut a photo. Laminate it (a home laminator or a self-seal pouch). Punch a hole and add ribbon. Simple, waterproof, and surprisingly durable.
Making It a Tradition
One ornament per child per year. By the time they leave home, they have 18+ ornaments for their own first tree. Write the year on the back of every ornament.
